'The Atypical Family' Stars Jang Ki Yong, Chun Woo Hee Display Intense Chemistry
ELLE Korea unveiled a new look at JTBC's soon-to-release series, "The Atypical Family," featuring its lead stars Jang Ki Yong and Chun Woo Hee.
The drama marks the actor's first drama following his military discharge and the actress' return to the fantasy-romance genre.
In "The Atypical Family," the heartthrob takes the role of Bok Gwi Joo, a man who has lost his superpowers, and the actress plays as Do Da Hee, a mysterious woman who is the key for Gwi Joo to regain his power.
Ahead of their drama's premiere, Jang Ki Yong and Chun Woo Hee surprised the public with their latest magazine shots, displaying their appealing charms.

Their on-screen chemistry was particularly highlighted in the pictorial, where the duo posed with an apple between them, evoking the intimacy of a kiss, and clad in contrasting black and white outfits that added to their charismatic presence.
Jang Ki Yong, Chun Woo Hee Talk About 'The Atypical Family'
Jang Ki Yong expressed his feelings about returning to acting after fulfilling his military duties.
"It's a mix of anticipation, worry, and curiosity. Watching the series I participated in with my fellow soldiers was a strange experience."
He added that he looks forward to how it would feel to watch himself again after a long time.
Meanwhile, Chun Woo Hee talked about the interesting and unique aspects of the drama. She emphasized that the superpowers of the characters in the series serve as a metaphor rather than a pure fantasy.
She said that the family losing their powers could be a reflection of everyone's untapped potential. The actress wished that their drama would offer comfort and healing to people who feel unable to fully seize their skills in today's society.
The new tandem also shared the essential things to deliver good acting in the romance genre.
Chun Woo Hee highlighted that real-life experience is needed.
"When it comes to romance, it definitely requires a significant amount of sensitivity."
Jang Ki Yong added that he tends to express more through actions than words.
"This makes it hard for me to show affection, and it's definitely a challenge when acting. Overcoming this is something I am working on."
