As Park Sung Hoon entered his prime era, the actor talked about starring in back-to-back projects.

After receiving massive popularity with "The Glory," the 39-year-old actor continues to captivate viewers with his villain role as he joined another hit K-drama, "Queen of Tears."

Following the successful finale of the tvN rom-com, he dished on his experience, especially with his jam-packed schedule.

Park Sung Hoon Says He Filmed 'Squid Game' Season 2 & 'Queen of Tears' at the Same Time

In an interview with a news outlet, Park Sung Hoon revealed that he filmed "Queen of Tears" and "Squid Game" Season 2 at the same time.

Expressing his dedication to his upcoming projects, he talks about how he manages to work on back-to-back projects all at once.

"When I open my eyes all day, I only think about acting. If I don't do that, I can't solve the problem when performing activities that overlap."

According to him, there were days when he was shooting two different dramas in one day.

"I filmed 'Squid Game 2' during the day, then I filmed 'Queen of Tears' at night, and then I filmed 'Squid Game 2' again."

He added that at the end of the day, it's rewarding to see the satisfaction he gets from seeing his work come to life.

"Even though it is physically difficult, job satisfaction is the best."

However, he added he would love to "focus on shooting one drama at a time" in the future.

To recall, "Queen of Tears" premiered in March and had its finale on April 28, while "Squid Game" Season 2 is predicted to hit Netflix in October.

This means that, production-wise, there's an overlap in schedule between the two dramas, but Park Sung Hoon managed to wrap it flawlessly.

As for his comeback movie, "Night Fall" is scheduled to air in 2025. Park Sung Hoon is joined by a roster of talented stars, which includes Kim Seon Ho, Lee Hyeri, Jang Dong Gun, and Kim Min Seok.

The upcoming movie will be his first after three years since the adventure comedy film "Hail to Hell" with Oh Woo Ri and Bang Hyo Rin.

Park Sung Hoon on 'Queen of Tears' Success, Plans for the Future

Other than the unique chemistry of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, Park Sung Hoon's villain role added more drama in "Queen of Tears."

As the interview continued, the actor expressed how he and the team were thankful for the positive responses of the viewers.

In addition to this, Park Sung Hoon said he "had a great time" working with his co-stars and also lauded the cast lineup and the story of the drama that made "Queen of Tears" a huge success.

"The script itself was so interesting and the casting was good that I thought it would be successful to some extent, but I didn't dare imagine winning first place. Thank you to the viewers."

As the tvN drama bids goodbye to viewers, Park Sung Hoon shares his plans for the future, which include his dream role.

"I have set my goal to appear in a romantic comedy," he said, adding that it will change his villain image "and seize the opportunity for a romantic comedy."
