The 60th Baeksang Arts Awards finally named its winners for this year's ceremony. Unfortunately, the public seemed divided following Honey Lee's win.
The annual ceremony, which is considered one of the most prestigious award-giving bodies in Korean entertainment, honored this year's outstanding works, and recognized their accomplishments and contributions to the industry.
Held at the Coex Convention and Exhibition Center in Seoul on May 7, stars gathered at the event, showcasing their dashing and stunning looks as they awaited the announcement of the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards winners.
While "Moving" and "12.12: The Day" bagged the Daesang, or grand prize, for the TV and film categories, Honey Lee took home the highly-coveted Best Actress award.
The beauty queen-turned-actress beat her fellow nominees, Uhm Jung Hwa, Ra Mi Ran, Lim Ji Yeon, and Ahn Eun Jin, for her performance in the historical K-drama "Knight Flower."
The 2023 Baeksang Arts Awards - Best Actress Song Hye Kyo announced the winner, and fans loved the interaction between the two Korean beauties.
During her acceptance speech, the newly-hailed Best Actress got emotional as she thanked the fans and the team behind the series, among which was her co-star Lee Jong Won, who seemed touched by Honey Lee's special mention.

In addition, Honey Lee also shared why she considers "Knight Flower" a "turning point" in her acting career.
"Six months after giving birth, I had to fly by wire and swing a knife. I couldn't stop myself because I had already fallen in love with the script. So I decided to do it."

Following Honey Lee's win at the 2024 Baeksang Arts Awards, the public seemed divided that the "Knight Flower" star was declared the winner.
Others even questioned if the actress was "deserving" to be this year's Best Actress titleholder. Some also mentioned that Ahn Eun Jin or Ra Mi Ran should have won the Best Actress award.
Despite this, fans flocked to social media to show their support for Honey Lee, and explained why she deserves the title Best Actress this year.

Following her performance in "Knight Flower,'' Honey Lee is set to return to the small screen, reprising her role as prosecutor Park Kyung Sun in "The Fiery Priest" Season 2.
A news outlet mentioned that GILSTORY ENT confirmed the cast lineup, which includes original cast members Kim Nam Gil and Kim Sung Kyun. Adding to the list are BIBI and Sung Joon.
