Hyeri is keeping her birthday tradition by making a meaningful donation as she celebrates her special day.

For years, the "Reply 1988" star has been supporting various organizations, showing her philanthropic efforts to help different non-government organizations.

This 2024, as the actress turns 30 on June 9, the South Korean beauty chose a different organization this time.

Hyeri Celebrates 30th Birthday by Making Generous Donations

According to a report, Hyeri's new agency Sublime, announced that Hyeri has donated 50 million won, or 36,414 USD, to Asan Medical Center in Seoul.

The generous donation made by the actress will help support individuals who need medical help and those who are from low-income families.

"The funds will be allocated for critical purposes to assist those in need," the agency added.

As for Hyeri, she expressed her intention to help and extend support to those who are in need.

"Upon hearing the struggles of individuals forced to forgo medical treatment due to financial constraints, I felt compelled to contribute, hoping to inspire more people to envision a healthier future."

In addition to this, the actress also mentioned that, other than marking a "personal milestone" in her life, she finds joy helping struggling individuals.

"I find immense joy in being able to share my happiness with others," she said, adding, "I am grateful and committed to striving to be a Hyeri who reciprocates the love and support I receive."

As mentioned, this isn't the first time that the former Girl's Day member has made a generous donation.

Since 2016, Hyeri has been part of various donation drives.

Her recent involvement was with UNICEF, where she donated 50 million won to the NGO's "We She Campaign."

This provides hygiene products for young girls who are part of the urban poor sector of society.

At the time, UNICEF's Korean Committee Secretary General Lee Ki Chul acknowledged Hyeri's support, saying she "delivered a warm gift for her birthday."

Moreover, it was reported that the actress, who is also the youngest member of the Honors Club, was praised for her generous heart.

"The funds will be used to create a safe and clean world for young girls in developing countries," the secretary general added.

What's Next for Hyeri?

The first quarter of 2024 seemed like a chaotic year for Hyeri as the actress got involved in a love triangle between her ex-boyfriend Ryu Jun Yeol and fellow actress Han So Hee.

Other than this, the "My Roommate is a Gumiho '' star has transferred to Sublime Artist Agency, the home of top stars like Song Kang Ho, Girls' Generation's Tiffany Young, Han Hyun Min, and more.

This is after the actress parted ways with her talent label, Creative Group ING, after 4 years.
