Chun Woo Hee continues to star in upcoming projects; this time, it's with Song Joong Ki.

Following the huge success of her K-dramas "The 8 Show" and "The Atypical Family," the 37-year-old beauty has landed another challenging character.

Continuing her 10-year career as an actress, Chun Woo Hee is slated to headline the upcoming K-drama "My Youth."

Chun Woo Hee Stars With Song Joong Ki in 'My Youth'

In an exclusive report by JTBC Entertainment News, Chun Woo Hee is in talks to be the next leading lady of Song Joong Ki.

As for the actress' agency, BLITZWAY Studios, the label confirmed that the "Be Melodramatic" star has been offered to join the series.

"['MY YOUTH'] is one of the projects that [Chun Woo Hee] is reviewing the offer for."

If Chun Woo Hee officially accepts the offer, she will take on the character of Sung Jae Yeon, who will be reunited with Song Joong Ki's character after 15 years.

To recall, "My Youth" is one of the K-dramas that is offered to Song Joong Ki after getting married and welcoming his first child in June 2023.

This will also be his return to the small screen after the hit K-drama "Reborn Rich."

Meanwhile, "My Youth" is a melodrama that depicts the story of Seon Woo Hae and Sung Je Yeon, who unexpectedly meet after 15 years.

It was during this time that both of them hit rock bottom and are struggling in their respective lives.

As for the team working behind "My Youth," the upcoming series will be directed by Lee Sang Yeop of "Yumi's Cells," "Shopaholic Louis," and "Familiar Wife," along with screenwriter Park Si Hyun, the genius behind JTBC's K-drama "Run On."

Lastly, "My Youth" will be produced by Song Joong Ki's agency, HighZium Studio.

Chun Woo Hee on Her Growing Popularity

Viewers were delighted to see Chun Woo Hee in back-to-back K-dramas after starring in "The 8 Show" and "The Atypical Family."

What stunned the fans the most is how flexible she is as an actress.

The 37-year-old beauty plays the protagonist in the romance fantasy K-drama, while she plays the villain role in the Netflix series.

Due to this, the public is drawn to her charm and undeniable performance.

In an interview, Chun Woo Hee expressed how grateful she is for the global success of her projects and, at the same time, the attention of the viewers to her as an actress.

"In recent years, I've often had multiple releases around the same time. Fortunately, they have been in different genres, showcasing a variety of my skills to the audience. I see this as a positive trend and am grateful for it."

As for her plans in the future, she wants to "explore a wide range of characters and stories," particularly, "intriguing, diverse, and unconventional characters."
