Byeon Woo Seok opened up about his honest thoughts regarding his overwhelming popularity and the love of fans after his fame skyrocketed due to the hit K-drama "Lovely Runner."

Taking on the character of top star Ryu Sun Jae, viewers were delighted to see his undeniable on-screen chemistry with Kim Hye Yoon, who played as Im Sol, a once-promising film director and Sun Jae's ultimate fan.

As "Lovely Runner" took the world by storm, Byeon Woo Seok's popularity continued to rise, which led him to grace magazine covers, fashion shows, and his first-ever fan meet.

Delighting his fans for his Asian fan meet, the South Korean heartthrob surprised the media during the press conference in Manila, as he handed out flowers to each person present at the event, showcasing his charm even off camera.

During the interview, the 32-year-old actor talked about his plans in the industry and his whirlwind experience after "Lovely Runner."

As mentioned by a media outlet, Byeon Woo Seok revealed that he "actually wanted to do a different kind of role" after "Strong Girl Nam Soon," where he played a villain role.

However, things changed when he read the "Lovely Runner" script and immediately fell in love with Ryu Sun Jae's character, adding that he is also a fan of rom-coms.

As for his chemistry with Kim Hye Yoon, the actor revealed that there was no secret behind their rapport.

"There's not really a secret to how I was able to have a good relationship with my co-actors and actresses. But one thing that made me have a good relationship with my co-stars is me meeting good actresses, as well because they also love the projects that they are doing."

In addition to this, Byeon Woo Seok said that their love for the project is what binds them and makes them "connect together."

In addition to this, Byeon Woo Seok revealed that doing a press conference is something he considered a "dream come true."

"Until now, I'm still not used to this sudden attention. It's actually like a dream."
