'Face Me': Lee Min Ki and Han Ji Hyun Join First Script Reading for Mystery Thriller Series

Stars Lee Min Ki and Han Ji Hyun team up as a skilled plastic surgeon and hard-working detective in the upcoming KBS2 mystery thriller 'Face Me.' Today, the new series held a first script reading with the main and supporting cast alongside director Jo Rok Hwan and writer Hwang Ye Jin. Photos from the behind-the-scenes event were shared online.

'Face Me' focuses on uncovering the truth behind crimes and using reconstructive surgeries on victims. An unfriendly plastic surgeon and MZ generation detective join forces. Lee Min Ki is the surgeon, while Han Ji Hyun takes on the detective role. Both actors did a great job immersing themselves in their characters, and Han Ji Hyun got emotional delivering her lines.

Lee Yi Kyung excelled during his reading as a plastic surgeon and close friend to Lee Min KI's character. He gave a comedic and endearing performance. Jeon Bae Soo read the lines for Lee Min Ki's mentor and head of KSH Plastic Surgery and impressed everyone.

Supporting actors Ha Young, Lee Seung Woo, Yoon Jeong Il, Yang So Min, Lee Jae Eun, and Choi Jung Un also joined the script reading to show off their acting expertise.

"From the moment I first encountered the script, I deeply studied it to immerse myself in the character. I'm eager to see how Cha Jung Woo will come out, as this character is quite different from my previous roles, Lee Min KI said during the script reading, according to a report from 'Soompi.'

Han Ji Hyun added, "I'm thrilled and excited to work with such amazing people. This is my first time taking on a character like this, and I believe it will bring me a lot of joy and excitement as I portray [my character]."

Lee Min Ki's last Kdrama was the 2024 ENA crime comedy 'Crash.' Han Ji Hyun enjoyed stardom this season with roles in the hit tvN romantic comedy 'No Gain, No Love' and the spin-off 'Spice Up Our Love.' Lee Yi Kyung starred in the 2024 tvN fantasy 'Marry My Husband.'

'Face Me' is scheduled to premiere in November and will air Wednesdays and Thursdays.
