Korean broadcaster Choi Dong Seok is in hot water again thanks to his ex-wife, Park Ji Yoon's comments that have recently come back into the limelight, where she describes him as an almost overly controlling partner.
The revelations emerge amid a contentious divorce between the couple after allegations of infidelity.
Park's 2015 stint on the JTBC show Salon De Histoire was where she spilled details of how Choi had infiltrated social media only to keep tabs on her day-to-day life.
His curiosity peaked because she was rarely calling, and he backtracked tracking her online.
She echoed those fears in a 2016 episode of SBS Plus' Veteran Show, saying that Choi was 'overwhelming.' She stated he would always be the first to comment on her posts and that he kept a literal eye on what she was up to.
Their divorce proceedings have been the subject of much media speculation over recent weeks, particularly following Dispatch's report that both sides have since filed lawsuits for adultery.
Although these allegations are especially serious, they aren't believed to be the main reason why the duo has split up.
The couple, who married in 2009, have allegedly faced relationship problems for a number of years and have been accused of spying, being untrustworthy, as well as suffering emotional abuse.
The twists and turns of Choi and Park's marriage have captivated the public for months, a skirmish that continues as the legal dispute plays out.
