Jo Yi Hyun and Romon, the stars behind Netflix's latest hit series All of Us Are Dead, recently discussed their romantic kissing scene that took an incredible 17 tries to nail just right.
The drama opened to a warm reception around the world, finding itself atop the Netflix charts minutes after its release.
In the series, which centers around a group of high school students trapped during a zombie outbreak, Jo Yi Hyun's character Nam-ra and Romon's character Soo-hyuk have a bittersweet romance.
As the chaos unfolds, their bond deepens, and a kiss that fans are still raving about happens.
In a recent YouTube commentary session, Jo Yi Hyun remembered how difficult filming the scene was. "I felt sorry for Romon because I closed my eyes and kissed him, so I didn't know where he was," she said.
"I told him, 'I'm really sorry. Let's go again just this once.'"
Romon responded with laughter, expressing his appreciation for the scene.
"I was very nervous before filming, but once I filmed the kissing scene, I thought, 'This is why they do melodramas.' I cherish this scene the most," he said.
The chemistry they've got and have translated with fans is one of the many reasons why the show still runs.
Currently, both stars are busy with their respective projects; Jo Yi Hyun leads in Now Our School is After Wedding Battle, while Romon appears in Third Person Revenge and Branding in Seongsu-dong.
