When on set for her new K-Drama, Unmasked, veteran actress Kim Hye Soo injured herself but continued through her scenes.
At the Disney Content Showcase APAC 2024 on Nov. 21, Kim spoke to the media and revealed that during an intense scene filming in the cold weather, she had injured her right thigh muscle.
The actress, who stars as team leader Oh So Ryong in the investigative drama, reminisced about the incident.
Kim said: "I had to do a physically intense scene on a freezing day. I ruptured my right thigh muscle while running."
She finished filming the grueling scene even after getting hurt.
"I thought we could at least shoot my face since my leg was injured, but it turned out that wasn't possible. I remember re-setting everything and filming again. The scene ended up looking very dynamic," Kim added.
Unmasked has to do with a reporting investigation crew that handles instances when law enforcement and prosecution decline.
It blends realistic story-telling with humor, and both sides of the show are engaging for the audience.
The long-awaited drama will come to theaters in January 2025. She's set fans into a frenzy with a promise that her project will be finished despite her nasty fall.
Kim Hye Soo, as a special icon and one of the leading actresses in South Korea, still motivates fans and co-actresses.
