While fans were looking forward to the return of top star Hyun Bin following his hiatus, actor Jung Woo Sung's recent scandal is overshadowing his comeback news due to a ripple effect possibly staining the two actors' joint works.

51-year-old Jung Woo Sung has been under fire after news of his secret child with model Moon Gabi.

The development has provoked a backlash, with fans calling for the actor's nearly three-decade-long career in the entertainment industry to be boycotted.

Back on Jung's end, however, the reports state that Jung is currently dating someone outside the industry who reportedly did not know about the situation.

According to a report by KBizoom, he scandal arrives at a tricky moment for Jung, who is set to star alongside Hyun Bin in upcoming South Korean drama Made in Korea, for Disney+.

Set in the 1970s, the six-episode story follows two men with ambition—Baek Ki Tae (a role of Hyun Bin) and prosecutor Jang Geon Young (Jung Woo-sung).

Some fans have suggested that Jung's past controversies could influence the show's reception.

Hyun Bin's involvement, as well as his appearance, is not directly linked to the controversy, yet he is still caught up in the public attention.

The series is his first drama in five years since the hit Crash Landing on You. Since the project links both actors, it raises the question of how producers might respond to the increasing backlash against Jung.

Hyun Bin also has a film titled Harbin lined up for a release in December.

While Jung Woo Sung is also carelessly revealed to appear in the film as a cameo, his involvement remains uncertain and that leads to the concerns on how the scandal would affect audience reception to the movie.

Jung Woo Sung, who was also riding high on the back of his recent hit film, the 12.12 The Day, which attracted more than 13 million viewers, solidified his status as one of the pillars of Korean cinema.

But the discovery of his love child has soured the public mood against him.
