Lee Min-ho recently revealed a car accident that greatly affected his life and career on the tvN show "You Quiz on the Block" that aired on December 25.

Lee, then a rookie 20-year-old actor, told the audience that he spent about a year in the hospital after the accident, which occurred while he was shooting for the drama "Secret Campus."

Actor Jung Il Woo was with him when he was involved in the accident.

Lee said: "It was a fatal accident. There is an assailant, and all of the occupants in the vehicle died." He added, "I was in the hospital laying down for nearly a whole year.

Jung Il-woo was hospitalized for four months."

During his surprise hiatus from acting, Lee mentioned how it affected him emotionally.

He said: "I had several expectations and dreams to fulfill at that age. My mind was all I had when everything came to a halt."

He said recovering his mental state went on a roller coast ride of denial, anger, depression and decline.

"It was mentally difficult, he said.I just processed those feelings because that was all I could do."

The tale of Lee Min-ho reminds us that life is still fragile, and all that glitters in the public eye is not always gold.
