Ha captioned a photo from a press conference for their new project, "Nocturnal," with a cheerful note, "Good day."

In one segment of a promotional appearance on Connect! Movie World, Ha was asked about his ideal genre for future projects.

Kim Nam Gil suggested comedy, and Ha bravely said, "BL?" Many netizens reacted to this lighthearted exchange and are in favor of the idea.

When asked if he ever would do a BL film for public broadcast, Ha quipped, "This can't be done on public broadcast, right? I'll cancel it."

It turns out he was just kidding and backtracked a little, but he still expressed his true passion for the genre.

The comment spread like wildfire as followers flooded social media platform X with reactions, with one fan stating jokingly, "and y'all said mainstream Korean actors didn't wanna do BLS; are we forcing them to?"

The frankness is exactly what excited the fans, and many supported the idea of mainstream actors doing BL dramas. Another fan said, "Nah now I want a comedy BL by KN and HJW," while others demanded a project with the two actors together.

Having previously worked together in the mystery horror film Closet and the crime drama Broken, speculation about their on-screen chemistry and the future of K-film narrative possibilities abound.

The film, "Nocturnal," is set to be released in South Korea on 5 February 2025, and is directed by Kim Jin-hwang. The plot revolves around Bae Min-tae (Ha Jung Woo), who investigates the suspicious death of his brother and eventually ends up with novelist Kang Ho-ryeong (Kim Nam Gil).

Yoo Da-in, Jung Man-shik, Im Sung-jae and Heo Sung-tae will also be playing key roles in the film.
