In her soon to be released film "The Huntresses," Ha Ji Won plays a charismatic bounty hunter who will stop at nothing to catch her man. What she will do includes dressing up as a man and pretending to be geisha.

Ha Ji Won, the star of "Empress Ki," has already used an enviable list of skills in her acting roles. She can box, rock climb, ride a motorcycle and is an expert in Kendo, a modern Japanese martial art. Her first role as a stuntwoman in "Secret Garden" inspired her to learn enough skills to do her own stunts.

And she also has some romance skills. In her acting roles she has snagged leading men Lee Seung Gi, Hyun Bin, Joo Jin Mo and Ji Chang Chook. Not bad.

But her new film demonstrates yet another reason to make us jealous. She can do a mean belly dance.

Brown Eyed Girls singer Son Ga In, who plays Ga Bi, the youngest of the film's three bounty hunters, mentioned that dance number at the recent press conference for the film. Son Ga In studied the dance scene choreography carefully but the results surprised and intimidated her.

"As a dancer, learning the choreography was a little easier for me than others," said Son Ga In. "I really did my best to learn the choreography, but when it came time for the scene, every one danced freestyle and did their own thing."

Kang Ye Won, who plays the dagger-throwing huntress Hong Dan, improvised and added dance moves. But it was Ha Ji Won's dancing and figure that made Son Ga In jealous.

"Ha Ji Won's abs were so impressive," said Son Ga In. "I was constantly jealous and stopped eating."

The film takes place in the Joseon era when three beautiful women fight the group that tries to overthrow the royal family. Ha Ji Won plays the group's leader Jin Ok.

"The Huntresses," which ended filming in December 18, 2012, will be released in January 29, 2014. The film's release was delayed because of problems with the computer graphics. But the delay may turn out to be a good thing as Ha Ji Won has only become more popular this year due to her appearance in the hit historical drama "Empress Ki."

An early trailer for the film was criticized for not being historically accurate, due to the heavy make up worn by Son Ga In. But the film is not aiming to be a documentary, said the producers, merely a fun film about three beautiful and brave women.
