Two of the actors in You Who Came From The Stars" have received offers based on the positive attention they earned from being in this popular drama. And one of them has never been in a drama before.
Park Hae Jin, who plays Chun Song Yi's persistent suitor, already has a role lined up in a new medical drama "Doctor Stranger." The star of "My Daugher Seo Young" will play a genius surgeon with a secret.
Another actor who has been recruited for a future role is drama rookie Ahn Jae Hyun, who plays Chung Song Yi's brother, Chun Yeon Jae. His sulky good looks favorably impressed viewers and casting directors alike.
"Who is that cutie there," Chun Song Yi's friend asks when she sees Cheon Yeon Jae walk into the actress' apartment.
Jun Ji Hyun tells her friend that it's only her brother.
"Really? You can see that face every day? Lucky girl," says her friend.
She's not the only one who noticed Ahn Jae Hyun.
Although playing Jun Ji Hyun's younger brother was the former fashion model's very first drama role, his appearance already prompted an offer to act in the upcoming film "Fashion King," also called "Gangnam Style."
He will co-star in the film with idol-turned-actress Sulli, actors Joo Won, Park Se Young and Kim Sung Oh. The film is based on the web comic of the same name. In the film Woo Ki Myung, a high school student played by Joo Won, decides to become the most stylish man around. To accomplish that goal he studies fashion and surrounds himself with students who are passionate about it. His transformation into a "fashion king" is motivated by his desire to attract the prettiest girl in his school.
Ahn Jae Hyun plays Won Ho, Woo Ki Myung's best friend and the school's best looking student. Park Se Young will play Hye Jin, the prettiest girl in the school, and the one that Woo Ki Myung has a crush on.
But it's not a drama without a love triangle or love square. So, Kwak Eun Jin, played by Sulli, has a crush on Woo Ki Myung. She also uses fashion to win love and tries to change her style to match his.
The film is not associated with the drama "Fashion King," which starred Yoo Ah In and Shin Se Kyung. The television drama was not based on the comic.
The film will be directed by Oh Ki Hwan, who directed "The Art of Seduction,' "Gift," and "A Wedding Invitation." Producer Cha Seung Jae was behind the film "Tazza," "Memories of Murder" and "Beat."
