The only thing that could slow down the meteoric rise of "You Who Came From The Stars" is the Lunar New Year. Because of the holiday on Jan. 30, the show's producers have decided to postpone one of its episodes. SBS will instead show a film with the series' male lead Kim Soo Hyun.

Episode 13 of "You Who Came From The Stars" will air on Jan. 29 but Episode 14 will not air on Jan. 30 and will instead be seen on Feb. 5. Although it was previously stated that the highly rated drama would not be extended, there is now the possibility that there will be an additional episode. Because of the holiday delay, the drama's final episode would fall on a Wednesday and another episode may be added so that it ends on a Thursday.

According to SBS, the decision to delay the 14th episode was made because viewers may want to spend the holiday with their families and that usually involves travel.

"Lunar New Years is a national holiday," said the SBS representative. "Many people travel back to their hometown and may be unable to tune in during the holiday. That's why we decided to air a Lunar New Year special film in its place."

Postponing an episode will also provide the actors with a much-needed break from their busy filming schedule. A crewmember also commented that the break would give the crew time to create a more polished product. And there are no worries that viewers will lose interest as the drama's viewer ratings are at an all-time high with last week's last episode earning 26.4 percent of the viewers.

The alien-human romance made a strong first opening in the ratings and has only risen, thanks to beautiful choreography, smart writing and excellent acting by stars Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun. Ratings rose even further last week with the confession of Kim Soo Hyun's character that he was an alien who had lived on the earth since the Joseon dynasty. How will Jun Ji Hyun react?

Netizens had mixed feelings about the delay. They were disappointed but most saw it in a positive way.

"So sad for us," wrote one netizen. "But happy that the cast and crew have a little breather."

"It's bad news and good news," said another netizen. "They get a break and we may get another episode."
