Actress Kim Sae Ron wants to make a statement about the rumors that accuse her of bad behavior. They're not true.

Pictures recently posted online show the 13-year-old actress sitting before a coffee table on which there are wine glasses and bottles of wine. In a second shot she is singing karaoke and there is a pack of cigarettes before her. The photos insinuated that the underage actress both smoked cigarettes and drank.

Although Kim Sae Ron was hurt by the false rumors she did not speak out right away. When she finally spoke up, she said that she made a new friend recently and was with her when the picture was taken. She did not deny the rumors right away because she felt that people would not be satisfied with her explanation.

"The day that this came up, no matter what I said, no one would have listened," said Kim Sae Ron. "The netizens that write such bad comments will accuse and attack me until they tire of it and find something else that interests them. If I have been good, those who believe me will believe me. Those who don't know me and are jealous will not want to hear anything that is good or true."

The actress admitted that even though she was close to come of her classmates, she was bullied at school. The photos may have had something to do with those who were trying to bully her. Although she stressed her innocence, she apologized for the photos and the misunderstanding they caused. But she also pointed out that there were consequences for spreading false rumors.

"Spreading false rumors is a crime," she said. "I want to receive an apology from those who used those photos to make it seem like I did something bad. I have never even thought of doing something that someone my age shouldn't do. I hope you will believe me."

The incident has made her reflect on the dangers of socializing with the wrong people.

"I have three movies coming out this year," she said. "I want to do well at school regardless of the movies. I thought it was all right but I guess it wasn't and I was hurt."

Kim Sae Ron who appeared in "I Need Romance 2012" and "The Queen's Classroom," can be seen in the film "Manshin: Ten Thousand Spirits" which hits theaters in March. She will also star in the films "Manhole" and "Dohee-ya."

"I thought I was strong enough to handle the bad comments but I guess my heart ached so much that I couldn't handle it," said Kim Sae Ron of the rumors.
