Michael Jackson Death Proven To Cause Fans Emotional Damage’, French Court Awards Them One Euro Each!

Five Michael Jackson fans were awarded one euro each in damages after they filed a case for being emotionally devastated by the singer's death.

A law suit was filed by 34 MJ fans against Dr. Conrad Murray, who was charged of involuntary manslaughter in 2011. It seems that the pay off has just started as the court in Orleans, France has ruled in favor of the five individuals who have proven that there was indeed "emotional damaged" as caused by the "Black and White" pop star's untimely death.

The five complainants, who are members of Jackson's Community fan club, presented "medical certificates and witness statements" to justify their claims.

Their lawyer, Emmauel Ludot opened up to AFP: "As far as I know this is the first time in the world that the notion of emotional damage in connection with a pop star has been recognized. They have been subjected to ridicule and I am delighted their suffering has been taken seriously by the law."

The "Jacko" fans, which consist of two French, Swiss and Belgian nationals - are planning to ask permission from Jackson's mother Katherine to visit their idol's tombstone in Glendale, California. The resting place is currently not open for public viewing

Just last month, the court of California upheld Murray's conviction for Michael Jackson's death.

The convicted doctor was released from prison last October. He continues to stand by his innocence and claim that the King of Pop killed himself by overdosing on anaesthetic propofol.

The 68-page court ruling elaborated on the possibility that Murray administered the lethal dose.

This was a big distress call to Michael Jackson's fan around the world, resulting to cases such as this.

Though the trial is not about "claiming the sum of one euro," as Ludot emphasized, the press had a field day covering the "amusing" case.

"I respected the suffering of the plaintiffs, but the process wasn't easy because of all the sniggering," Ludot concluded.
