Google Glass Price is fairly unassuming in its design and it feels fragile and breakable, but putting it on may take a bit more effort.
According to a recent study, 12% of all Americans would buy Google Glass at a price point of $750. The data was analyzed Glass Almanac Google Consumer Survey administered between March 9-11, 2014.
Google Glass has received a ‘bad rap’ after people, or explorers, began wearing them in public places like restaurants, theaters, and pubs or even while driving for that matter. This might make it difficult for the Google Glass to sell as easily as Android wear.
This Internet-connected eye-wear takes you into a world of its own and separates from your environment. Once you're "The Person Wearing Google Glass", you will have to bear all the connotations that come with it - your wealth, your curiosity and what you would want to subject yourself to wearing something on your head. As explorers who signed up for wearing the Glass paying $1500 for the gadget, they are also early adapters to the new Glass technology.
Google glass price, release date vs. Android wear info is now going to play an integral part in which of these gadgets the consumer will choose. Certainly, it gives Google users an option since some users may have preference for using Glass vs. a Watch.
But you must admit that the $1,500 price tag is a turn off, considering all the negative stigma that goes with it. Google like any successful firm has its own 'moonshots' or project that think into the future. Apart from Glass, it also has the dreiverless car, balloons delivering Internet to places were cable or wireless Internet is unavailable.
In its current state, the Glass stands out. And this is not good, when people who cannot afford Google glass look at you as a 'showing off' your wealth.
Silicon Valley design firm IDEO's life sciences chief strategist Rodrigo Martinez, comments on the future of wearable technology: "The reason we are talking about wearables is because we are not at implantables yet," he says. "(But) I'm ready. Others are ready."
