South Korean singer-actress IU said that her latest K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines has changed the way she look at marriage.

In a post-finale interview held at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel on April 2, IU candidly discussed how the show's portrayal of love and family left a lasting impression on her.

IU — real name Lee Ji-eun — played the role of Ae Soon in the hit show.

One of the show's standout characters, Yang Gwan Sik, played by Park Bo-gum and Park Hae-joon, quickly became a fan favorite for his unwavering devotion as a husband.

Social media has been flooded with praise for Gwan Sik, with many viewers calling him the "ultimate green flag."

IU admitted that the character also set a high standard for her when it comes to marriage.

"A husband like Gwan Sik and children like Geum Myung and Eun Myung—if that kind of family dynamic were guaranteed, then maybe [I'd marry]," she said.

However, she added, "But it's difficult to make such hasty decisions in life."

The singer-actress also marveled at the writing of the character, stating,

"I wonder how the writers could come up with someone as human yet dreamily perfect as him."

IU, who is currently in a relationship with actor Lee Jong-suk, briefly mentioned him during the interview, but did not elaborate further.
