New messages and photographs allegedly exchanged between actors Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron have surfaced, fueling controversy over their past relationship.
The revelations were made by Kim Se Ui of Garo Sero Institute during a live broadcast on his YouTube channel on April 2.
As per Koreaboo, Kim Se Ui disputed claims made by Kim Soo Hyun's representatives regarding the timeline of certain photos.
One image, reportedly showing Kim Soo Hyun kissing Kim Sae Ron's cheek, was said by Kim Soo Hyun's side to have been taken in 2019.
However, Kim Se Ui asserted that Kim Sae Ron herself claimed the picture was from 2016.
"Did she become a college student overnight? What major did she study then?" Kim Se Ui questioned during the broadcast.
He also addressed another disputed photo, which he alleged showed Kim Soo Hyun's bed and pillow.
Kim Soo Hyun's representatives stated that the picture was taken on December 14, 2019, after a walk through Seoul Forest, at which time Kim Sae Ron was 20 and attending Joongang University.
Further allegations arose regarding a video message reportedly sent by Kim Soo Hyun to Kim Sae Ron while he was in Paris. Kim Se Ui condemned the act, stating,
"Hey Kim Soo Hyun, can you even call yourself a human? Is it okay to send [the video] to her just because she is 20?"
In addition to the images, call records from 2018 were revealed, allegedly showing that Kim Sae Ron, then 17 and 18, had called and FaceTimed Kim Soo Hyun multiple times.
Kim Se Ui emphasized that digital forensics experts were working on analyzing five of Kim Sae Ron's cell phones and four laptops for further evidence.
A screenshot of a message dated April 13, 2018, at 2:30 a.m. was also displayed, where Kim Sae Ron reportedly wrote:
"Oppa, when you miss me and need me, you keep in touch with me without a problem, but when I need you, you're always MIA (missing). It bothers me that I can't get in contact with you and it's inconvenient. If you don't put in the effort, then I'm not seeing you anymore."
According to Kim Se Ui, Kim Soo Hyun allegedly used multiple KakaoTalk accounts under different names to avoid detection.
Screenshots of other conversations showed messages such as Kim Soo Hyun calling Kim Sae Ron "Pretty Nero" and referencing secret meetups.
A photo reportedly taken on September 20, 2017, when Kim Sae Ron was in 10th grade, was also revealed, with Kim Se Ui asking, "Do you remember which neighborhood you were in on this date?"
Another image allegedly from April 2017, purportedly sent by Kim Soo Hyun to Kim Sae Ron, was said to be taken in his home.
Kim Soo Hyun's representatives have denied the authenticity of some of the messages, particularly one where Kim Sae Ron allegedly stated she dated Kim Soo Hyun from November 19, 2015, to July 7, 2021.
However, Kim Se Ui presented a side-by-side video comparison of screencaptures with what he claimed were original messages from Kim Sae Ron's cousin's phone to validate their authenticity
