Samsung Galaxy S5 price cut in the U.S. may be too good to be true. Or it might not last very long because the early bird might beat you to it.
According to Gottabemobile, "The Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 emerged on Amazon today with a deeply discounted price but within hours, the Verizon Galaxy S5 sold out and it’s not clear when the device, or deal, is coming back."
The report continued to say, "When Verizon announced the Samsung Galaxy S5 and its release date last week,the carrier pegged the device with a familiar April 11th release date and $199.99 on-contract price tag. This is similar to the dates and prices used across the board by major U.S. carriers planning to stock the Samsung Galaxy S5."
The release date for Samsung Galaxy S5 in the U.S. is a few days away and consumers have already been hit with some valuable information from carriers. Samsung announced the brand new Samsung Galaxy S5 at the MWC 2014 in February and opened the show with a bang up opening event, the 'Unpacked, five.' The S5 will replace the S4 as the flagship year.
Calling it the best smartphone display in the world, Display Mate described the s5 with full HD res. as the 'smartphone with the best display in the world.' Display Mate favored it over the IPhone 5s retina display, touted by Apple.
Although the Samsung’s Galaxy S5 has not been shelved, stores in the U.S. such as AT&T, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, T-Mobile, Verizon said the Galaxy S5 would arrive close to the release date April 11. AT&T will launch the Galaxy S5 on April 11th. By that time, AT&T will stop taking Galaxy S5 pre-orders. Instead AT&T will take orders for shipping.

AT&T Galaxy S5 is also available for pre-order via other channels including Amazon, Best Buy, Target and RadioShack, gottamobile reports.
AT&T charges $199.99 on-contract - 16GB. You will have to shell out a hefty $650 on the off contract AT&T Next Plan. In a period of 20 months, AT&T Next customers need to pay $32.50 a month for the Galaxy S5.
Looking at the price for Verizon, Galaxy S5 costs $250 with a two-year contract, and the company will offer a $50 mail-in rebate along with overnight shipping free of charge. This in essence makes the price approximately $199, as confirmed by androidcentral.
Pre-orders will be met by the carrier on the day of the launch.Another option you have is to get the 'no-nonsense' Galaxy S5 off-contact by paying in total - a hefty albeit worth it $600.
Yet another way to get around the contract system is to avail Verizon's "Buy One, Get One Free" offer. This translates to a purchase of the Galaxy S5 with a takeaway of either another Galaxy S5, the Samsung Ativ SE running on Windows Phone or the newly released HTC One M8 free.
According to PC Magazine, "The Galaxy S5, which made its debut at Mobile World Congress in February, sports a 5.1-inch full HD Super AMOLED display and a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera. It runs a 2.5GHz quad-core processor and Android 4.4 KitKat, and has a built-in fingerprint sensor that unlocks the device."
PCMag further shared, "The smartphone also incorporates some fitness components, like a built-in heart rate sensor and an upgraded S Health app that lets you track nutrition, fitness, and wellness. It will pair with Samsung's new Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo, Gear Fit smart watches."
