Windows 8.2 release download rumors are pouring in after Microsoft announced a Windows 8.1 update for its current OS during the Build conference.
Media reports say another update for the Windows Update 8 is looming for Microsoft. The release date is planned for August 2014. However, analysts are not sure if the name of the update will be Windows 8.2 or Windows 8.1 Update 2.
Mary Jo Foley, who writes for the ZDNet, said that she has contacts close to the story and she obtained information about another update to be released during the summer. The main source of rumors about the Windows OS stems from WZor, a Russian hacking group.
Other reports say, Microsoft is planning to publish updates of the current Windows 8 (8.1 beta) OS more often so that the next version is expected as early as August.The question now is how Microsoft can improve on Windows 8.1 ahead of a Windows 9 OS release.
Reports say that although Windows 8 is doing a good job fixing bugs, there's still a lot more it can do to improve performance before a Windows 9 update. Hence, the Windows 8.2 is inevitable.
Analysts say that MCSFT should have released Windows 8.2 in 2012. Some say that Windows 8.1 makes Windows 8 more 'bearable.' However, the consensus opinion is that Windows 8.1 is not adequate to improve Windows 8,
With Windows 8.1 Update 1 download available, Windows 9 is anticipated to be released in 2015.
Will Windows 8.2 Be A Free Upgrade? Signals point to that direction.
WZor reports that the Start manual would be tailor made for touch screen devices in comparison to Desktop PCs. A Start menu design optimized for swiping on touch devices is another option for Windows 8.2.
As Mary Jo Foley reports, Richmond St., Seattle-based, Microsoft is seeking to release the abovementioned innovations in an August update. Since the start menu is not something new and not too technically complicated.
With the ‘One Windows,’strategy in place, Microsoft is working on a standardized development environment for all app types on Xbox, tablets, smartphones, and cloud services.
