R. Kelly's transgender son has gotten more support from his mom about his sexuality as the R&B hitmaker has not reached out to Jay, but very close to his older son.
In a report by MailOnline, R. Kelly's transgender son-who was born female named Jaya-confessed on social media about coming out.
The 13-year-old wrote: "My mom was like, 'Baby, you know I love you if you were bi, gay, lesbian, you name it and I would still love you so much.' She was very proud of me, I was like, 'Thank you mom for accepting the fact that I'm a transgender.'"
He also said that his sister was also very supportive of his decision. "She told me that she was proud of me, and respects me by calling me handsome and calling me her little brother now, and I love her for that, so you know it was great for me."
Jay also said that R. Kelly has not really formed a relationship with him and his sister, although the "I Believe I Can Fly" singer is very close to his oldest son.
"Yea my dad has not reached out," he said.
According to UK's Independent, R. Kelly's transgender son said that he hasn't told his father yet because he's "kind of scared," particularly since their relationship was complicated.
But he acknowledged that his father probably knows about his sexuality, when he already knew when he was just six or seven years old that he's a boy trapped in a girl's body.
R. Kelly's transgender son also claimed that he's getting surgery in order to make his transition complete, although it would take a few years for him to be legally qualified.
"I believe I am a boy and want surgery, and the medication to help me (be) who I was supposed to be," he said.
