The academy award-winning actress, Halle Berry has a new sci-fi thiller TV show in CBS titled Extant.
From Wikipedia, the scheduled premiere of the sci-fi television series, created by Mickey Fischer will be on July 9, 2014 at CBS. The story will revolve around Molly Woods (Halle Berry), an astronaut who had been in solo space mission for a year (13 months according to the trailer).
Halle Berry Extant trailer can now be seen in Youtube, and it has created an intriguing plot on the minds of viewers.
After the mission, she comes back to Earth and her friend doctor found out that she is pregnant. There is also a mystery guy in the spaceship where Molly is staying, but it seemed she can't remember what happened after that encounter.
On Screenrant post about the previous Halle Berry Extant trailer, it seemed like Molly's loving husband John Woods (Goran Visnjic) and her son Ethan (Pierce Gagnon) might be the blocker of Molly's mission to find out the truth behind the horrifying and confusing situation that happened during her solo space mission.
Jason Tarbys of Screenrant said "there are parallels that one can draw between this story and the first act of Spielberg's A.I. Artificial Intelligence. But in Extant, Ethan seems as if he'll only be one part of a puzzle with a lot of pieces."
Some critiques also said that there are elements present from "Rosemary's Baby in space" (Johnny Depp and Charlize Theron sci-fi thriller: The Astronaut's Wife) because of some footage.
The short trailer seems like showing the conspiracy at work (high official rank astronauts) with the glimpse of domestic drama, which a scene that Molly's tried reconnect with her husband and her young son after one year she was isolated in a spaceship.
The trailer didn't give a hint if the baby carrying by Molly is a human or an alien. And this is the mystery that must be watched for. Another thing to look forward is the mysterious personality of Molly's son.
