Since the news of King James decision to be a free agent broke out, a lot has speculated as to which team the four-time NBA MVP will opt to move to.

LeBron James has opted to use his early termination clause for his contract with the Miami Heat. The news was delivered by his agent Rich Paul. When the clock strikes 12:01 on July 1, James will officially be a free agent.

When James was asked about the decision he was about to make being a free agent he answered "Being able to have flexibility as a professional, anyone, that's what we all would like. That's in any sport, for a football player, a baseball player, a basketball player, to have flexibility and be able to control your future or your present." He added "I have a position to be able to do that ... There's a lot of times that you're not in control of your future as a professional."

When Miami Heat President, Pat Riley, was asked regarding the matter he said "I was informed this morning of his intentions. We fully expected LeBron to opt out and exercise his free-agent rights, so this does not come as a surprise."

Now that the decision has been made, the next question would be who can afford LeBron James to their team. According to sources the Heat can still offer James a deal worth $127.7 million under a five year maximum contract. However, other NBA team can only offer a four year deal with maximum limit of $94.8 million.

According to Spotrac, aside from the Miami Heat, there are only five other team who may be able to open up a deal for the NBA Star. Among them are The Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers.

His decision to become a free agent puts a higher leverage form his end. He has been an awarded player having won not only NBA Championship and MVP but also other international competitions as well. A lot believed that James decision will not be based on how much money he will be able to get from the contract but rather which team can further his career and give him the opportunity to be a NBA Champion once more.
