Japan's loss is Greece's victory. Japan will be exiting the FIFA World Cup while Greece will be moving ahead to the knockout rounds.

Colombia made the Samurai Blue go home without a fight after finishing the game on a 4-1 final score. This appeared to be a perfect world cup for the team having won all of their three matches since the tournament has started, securing the top spot for Group C.

The first goal of the match was courtesy of Colombia winger, Juan Cuadrado at the 17th minute. But it was long before Japan equaled the score at the 45+1 minute by their forward, Shinji Okazaki. This gave the Japanese hope before the first half ended.

But Colombia was relentless. They brought in midfielder James Rodriguez for the second half of the games which secured a faster and stronger Colombia. A few minutes after the first half started, Colombia forward, Jackson Martinez, with the help of Rodriguez, managed a goal on the 55th minute. But Martinez was unstoppable. He let go of another shot during the 82nd leaving Japan behind 2 goals already. And if that was not enough, the 22 year old midfielder, Rodriguez managed to add up to their score at the very last minute of the game in the 90th second.

From then onwards, Japan had been struggling to keep face with Colombia. Although Japan had higher total shots and shots on goal compared to Colombia, it still was not enough for them to win another shot in the goal.

Japan had 23 totals host having 13 of them considered as shots on target while Colombia only had 13 total host with 9 shots on target. Japan also had higher possession rates at 56% while Colombia had 44%. But these team stats did seem to matter as Colombia made sure that their shots would count and every shots on target was delivered. Colombia's clean score sheet will bring them to their last 16 clash against Uruguay as the notable group C top team. A lot of team will be having their eyes on Colombia having shown how strong their team is and how well they had made their way up to the knock outs.
