Lorde And Iggy Azalea Feud Not Real; ‘Fancy’ Rapper Tweets Love For ‘Royals’ Singer

Lorde and Iggy Azalea only have respect for one another.

The "Royals" singer recently responded to the comments that the Australian rapper made about her performance with the surviving members of Nirvana at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in April, according to Billboard.

"Nothing against her, but I think when you're doing a tribute to someone that's dead, generally it should be the person's peer. Lorde is not Kurt Cobain's peer. No matter if she killed the performance or not, I just don't think it's appropriate," Azalea told the music magazine.

The outspoken Lorde responded to the criticism with grace.

She reportedly told the Herald Sun that she "had a good time" at the tribute.

The "400 Lux" singer added, "That's all that mattered. I've been in a position where I've said something in an interview where I've thought, 'Damn, I wish I could take that back.'"

She continued, "I don't know how Iggy is feeling about it. But anyone who's doing well deserves respect, and I respect what she's doing."

After news began circulating that an alleged "feud" was going on between the two, the "Fancy" rapper took to her Twitter account to set the record straight.

"Lol I have a feud with lorde now? I Don't think so she's my southern hemispheric soul sister. Keep reaching world," wrote "The New Classic" hitmaker.

She added, "I consider lorde my very talented friend. I find it ironic 2 girls tell the media theyre full of shit & weeks later supposedly I dislike her."

The model didn't stop there.

The 24-year-old continued, "My opinion on the makings of a touching musical tribute wasn't meant as some back door way to take a dig at her or the performance she gave. Sorry if it came across that way, it's not what I intended & I feel genuinely bad about it because I still think lorde is an awesome chick."
