The recently concluded game between Germany and USA had one person hailed by both coaches as "remarkable."
It was no other than 24 year old German Forward, Thomas Muller. Muller was the only player who was able to shoot a goal during their match against USA. He is the current top goal player for this year's world cup having a total of four goals.
Muller is not new to the World Cup. He joined the Germany team during the 2010 World Cup accumulating 5 goals in sex appearances in which Germany finished 3rd place. On the same event he was awarded at the Best Young Player as well as receiving the Golden Boot being the tournament's top scorer. He is on the run in retaining the golden boot award for this year's world cup but he also has strong completion among Neymar from Brazil and Leonel Messi of Argetina.
During the end of the game, both the team coaches hugged each other over a well deserved game. Both the coaches, Jürgen Klinsmann and Joachim Löw are from Germany. But this not the reason why they are praising the young forward, his unique abilities to secure a goal is the main reason for this.
According to Klinsmann "There isn't a team in the world that wouldn't like to have Thomas Müller on its side. He is a remarkable player."
Muller's coach praised him for his fitness and work ethics "He is mentally strong, a very smart player who always seems able to find space, but physically he is in great shape as well. He is the one who runs the most kilometers but he makes it look easy, even the heat doesn't seem to affect him."
On the other hand, US coach Klinsmann answered when asked regarding their chances in the knockouts "We have nothing to fear now. We have just come through the strongest group, and it's great to be able to put the Group of Death behind us and concentrate on just beating a single team."
He added "When you consider the quality that Ghana, Germany and Portugal bring to the table it was a huge achievement to escape that group. I don't think many people gave us a chance."
Germany coach, Low agreed on Klinsmann assessment of his team being able to joining Germany in the knockouts. He said "I think everyone thought Portugal would make it ahead of them, USA had some tough games but I think if you beat Ghana and draw against Portugal you deserve to make it to the round of 16."
