Release dates for the sequels of 3 popular animated films have already been set!
Hollywoord Reporter announced that the three movies, The Croods 2, Madagascar 4, and Puss In Boots, already have their respective schedules for filming.
The Croods 2 is expected to hit theaters at Nov. 3, 2017. This is the story of the cavemen family's journey of survival. The first installment was released in 2013 and it earned $587.2 million worldwide.
Puss in Boots 2: Nine Lives & 40 Thieves is a sequel to the 2011 film, and it will be released in theaters on Nov. 2, 2018. The first film voice casts included Antonio Banderas, and it earned $555 million worldwide.
Madagascar 4 will hit the theaters on May 18, 2018. Casts are Chris Rock, Ben Stiller and Jada Pinkett Smith. The third film opened in 2012 and grossed $746.9 million worldwide.
The fourth installment is on going by DreamWorks Animations. According to the film's synopsis, Larrikins (Australian slang for mischievous youth) follows a desert-dwelling marsupial, venturing out from his sheltered life.
Other movies that has been announced by Hollywood Reporter are the following:
- Captain Underpants voice casts are Kevin Hart, Ed Helms and Nick Kroll, and expected to hit theaters on Jan. 13, 2017. The film is directed by Rob Letterman.
- Hitman: Agent 47 is Aleksander Bach's sequel and will hit theaters on Feb. 27, 2015. The film will star Rupert Friend and Zachary Quinto.
- An Untitled Kevin Lima project, a Bollywood-style animated musical, will hit theaters on March 10, 2017. Originally, it was set on March 18, 2016 date.
- A previously unannounced film, 'Boss Baby' will hit theaters on March 18. 2016.
