Will Ji Chang Wook and Park Min Young become a couple? They will if they both agree to take roles in an upcoming drama titled "Healer."
Both their agencies confirmed that they received offers to play the leading roles in the KBS upcoming series and that they are seriously considering taking those roles.
Both actors have experienced success playing a variety of roles.
Park Min Young's last series "A New Leaf" told the story of a lawyer who developed amnesia and was forced to confront the ethics of his previous choices. She played is loyal secretary. The drama started off strong but had to be cut short because of scheduling conflicts.
The actress has played a range of characters in several successful series and in the process she has acted with some impressive leading men. She played a secret service agent in "City Hunter," co-starring in that drama with Lee Min Ho. She played a Joseon-era girl disguised as a boy scholar in "Sunkyunkwan Scandal." Her co-stars in that drama were Park Yoochun, Yoo Ah In and Song Joong Ki. She played a woman who dreams of becoming a doctor in "Dr Jin," with co-stars Song Seung Hoon and JYJ's Kim Jaejoong.
It has been five months since "A New Leaf" finished filming and she last appeared on the small screen.
Ji Chang Wook's last role was playing Mongol emperor Togun Temur in the 51-episode historical drama "Empress Ki." The show earned impressive ratings and Ji Chang Wook was praised for his performance as the troubled, vulnerable emperor. While that role earned him a lot of attention, he has never been afraid to take on varied types of roles. He played a villain in "Five Fingers," a Joseon-era warrior in "Warrior Baek Dong So" and a vegetable storeowner in "Bachelor's Vegetable Store."
Ji Chang Wook finished filming "Empress Ki" seven months ago but he has since been working on a film titled "Two Constables." In that film he plays a Joseon-era police officer that is passionate about doing his job. "Two Constables" will be released in 2015.
The plot of "Healer" has not yet been revealed but Song Ji Na is going to be the screenwriter. He previously wrote "Eyes of Dawn," "Hourglass" and "The Legend."
Lee Jung Sub will direct "Healer." He previously directed "Hong Gil Dong," "Baker King Kim Tak Goo" and "Glory Jane."
