Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett finally announced the release of their new project.
Their collaboration album titled "Cheek to Cheek," a collection of jazz standards including "It Don't Mean A thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)," "Sophisticated Lady," "Lush Life," and more will be released on September 23, according to Billboard.
To the joy of Gaga and Bennett fans alike, a concert special on PBS will follow later this fall as well.
Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett's upcoming album was recorded in New York City and features jazz musicians including Mike Renzi, Gray Sargent, Harold Jones and Marshall Wood as well as pianist Tom Lanier and jazz trumpeter Brian Newman, according to the music magazine.
Lady Gaga revealed that she is quite familiar with jazz, which she began performer as a 13-year-old, according to USA Today.
"I'm familiar with all the songs in the Great American Songbook, but we thought that this song was so much fun and we love singing it together," stated Gaga about her first song off the album, "Anything Goes."
She added, "It's got this real sexy, powerful vibe to it, and it's just because we're having fun singing it."
Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett chose to work on this album due to their love of jazz as well as their great respect for each other.
"The reason I chose to do (this project) with her is to show how wonderful she really sings. She's so uninhibited and talented, and has a wonderful talent of knowing how to improvise very well. She's really a great American singer," stated Bennett.
