Apples - even the royal ones - don't fall far from the tree.
Prince Harry followed in his grandmother's photobombing footsteps by striking a hilarious pose behind three New Zealand Commonwealth Games officials during the 800-meter women's swimming freestyle match in Glasgow on Monday night.
Sports Manawatu chief executive and former Olympic boxer Trevor Shailer posted on Facebook a photo of himself with rugby coach Sir Gordon Tietjens and sports psychologist Gary Hermansson. Two rows behind the three sports men, the royal prince can be seen giving a very enthusiastic thumbs up.
""Photo of the day.... A Royal photo bomb by Prince Harry with Titch (Sir Gordon) and Gary Hermansson at the Swimming venue tonight," Shailer wrote in the caption. "Thanks to Bev Hari for taking the pic...fun times supporting our athletes at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games!'"
Not to be outdone, Prince William also took a moment to photobomb at the Commonwealth Games.
The Duke of Cambridge appeared in a photo behind Olympic cyclist Sir Chris Hoy. Prince William can be seen laughing over Hoy's shoulder in the photo which the sportsman posted on his Twitter account.
"Got to love a royal photobomb," Hoy captioned the photo.

The two young royals are perhaps taking a leaf out of their grandmother's photobombing book. Last week, the Queen photobombed Jayde Taylor and Brooke Peris, two members of the Australian hockey team who were posing for a selfie.
"Ahhh The Queen photo-bombed our selfie!!
