Nick Diaz has plans to return to UFC

It has been more than a year since Nick Diaz has fought inside the octagon. His last fight was with Georges St-Pierre which was a title fight in Montreal on March 16, 2013 where he lost via unanimous decision. Now that all is well between Diaz and the UFC organizers, he has now considered returning to the stage in early 2015.

Although he has not fought for more than a year, Diaz has been working out making sure that he us in top shape when he returns. He said "I've just been doing a whole lot of not getting punched around, type stuff. Hanging around. I've been staying in shape pretty good. Been doing a lot of running. It's been a good experience having that much time off."

He added "Just because I'm not getting punched around every day, doesn't mean that I'm not focused on what I'm doing."

Diaz' last two fights all resulted to him losing. Now, he has plans to fight once more, he would want to fight with Anderson Silva.

According to him "I'd like to fight for the title. I think that would be a big deal and worth fighting for. I want fights that will lead to a title fight. Whoever is in line and whoever has the title, that's who I'm going to be fighting. I'd be interested in fighting [Silva] and anything that's going to do well. As far as Anderson Silva, I think that would be a great fight for people to see because he has my type of style."

Silva is also expected to return to UFC in 2015. He is currently recuperating from a leg injury during his last fight. For Diaz "Stylistically, I think any kick boxers, that aren't wrestlers, are good match ups for me, most of the time."

But it would not matter who Diaz will fight against with as he promised to do stay with his fighting style of perpetual motion and making sure to go for the finish. He believes that his opponents won because they just kept on running away from him or by holding on to him. Diaz said that he won't do the same.

He said "I could play that game, too. But I've got to go home to a whole city of people who are going to go. 'what the hell was that [expletive]?' So, I've got to keep it real and fight how I fight."
