Lisa Vanderpump had a rough time on the previous season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."

Season 5 will be much better for the RHOBH now that soap opera star Lisa Rinna has joined the cast of the hit reality television show.

The friendship between Lisa Vanderpump and Lisa Rinna was evident on Wednesday when the "Vanderpump Rules" star received a star on the Palm Springs Walk of Fame as the former "Days of Our Lives" actress looked on, according to Radar Online.

"Lisa Vanderpump is going out of her way to make sure that she can count on Lisa Rinna this season. Last year, Lisa Vanderpump was left out in the cold as the ladies turned on her," a source told the gossip website.

Despite rumors that the owner of SUR was now on better terms with her other co-stars, Kyle Richards, Yolanda Foster and Brandi Glanville were all absent when their RHOBH cast member was receiving such an honor.

Vanderpump has reportedly known Lisa Rinna long before it was rumored that the actress would be joining RHOBH.

"Both of them have been social acquaintances for years, but Vanderpump is truly going the extra mile to welcome Lisa R. to the show," the insider added.

The wife of Harry Hamlin, who had previously admitted to both watching the show and being familiar with the cast members, made the official decision to join the reality television show after a trial run at Kyle Richards' White Party in late June.

While Rinna's test run was in the works, Vanderpump had held off on joining on to season 5 of the show until a pay raise was given, according to the gossip website.

RHOBH fans will be more than happy to know that the new season will be almost if not more dramatic than the previous one.

"It's going to be a very exciting season, and there have already been some fireworks. There will be tons of drama that will leave viewers wanting more," stated the insider.
