Good news coming from Barcelona striker Neymar. He has announced that he is now almost fully healed following a back injury incurred during the World Cup games.
It can be remembered that Neymar challenged Colombia's Camilo Zuniga during the 88th minute. He was aiming to catch the ball facing it when Zuniga came in running at the back and hitting his right knee on his vertebrae. The Brazilian super star, ploughed to the ground and was seen writhing in pain. He was then stretchered off from the field and into the locker room where he was checked.
Brazil struggled during their semi finals match against Germany which ended in a 7-1 finals core. A lot of fans went home even before the games have ended and there were some who went home right after the first half ended.
According to the 22 year old soccer player "It's all good, my back is improving, it's almost 100 percent. I'm looking forward to joining my teammates and helping them win the title."
Neymar was in Toyo, Japan to film a commercial for a mattress company. He was greeted by 700 adoring fans at Tokyo's Haneda Airport on Thursday.
He announced at his press conference saying "It's all good, my back is improving, it's almost 100 percent. I'm looking forward to joining my teammates and helping them win the title."
On a lighter note, Neymar only has praise for the mattress that he is endorsing. He said "This mattress feels great, I am sure it will help me in my recovery. I had a long trip here so I'm looking forward to testing this mattress tonight."
Neymar has a tight schedule for his Japan trip. Beside his commercial shooting, he has also a couple for TV appearances where he will be answering questions from fans regarding football.
Now that Neymar is on his way to recovery and seemingly ready to play once more, fans are eager to see him back in action with his team in Barcelona. But for now, they would have to wait a little bit longer until the injury has fully healed and the Brazil star can perform to his fullest.
