International golf superstar Dustin Johnson has been suspended from the PGA tour because he has failed a drug test, which implies he is positive on cocaine, according to Golf.com.

Golf.com has also said that it was the third time that the player failed a drug test. The first one was in 2009, where he was found out taking in marijuana, and the second one was in 2012, two years ago, which says he is positive of cocaine, too.

The 30- year- old was suspended in 2012, but it was kept secret. Now, Johnson says that he will seek 'professional help' for his 'personal challenges.'

"I will use this time to seek professional help for personal challenges I have faced," he said in a public statement provided by his management company.

"By committing the time and resources necessary to improve my mental health, physical well-being and emotional foundation, I am confident that I will be better equipped to fulfil my potential and become a consistent champion."

The PGA tour were very understanding of the situation. They said: "We have nothing to add to Dustin's statement, but we wish him well and look forward to his return to the PGA Tour in the future."

The guidelines in the Tour also do not require the management to announce disciplinary actions against its players on the use of drugs. That explains the non- publicized suspension in two years ago.

"In regard to the report in golf.com, the PGA Tour does not comment on rumours and speculation," Johnson said.

The golfer's biggest sponsor, TaylorMade- adidas also said that they would not comment on the issue.

"TaylorMade-adidas Golf will not comment on allegations," the enterprise said in a statement.

"We support Dustin Johnson's decision to temporarily step away from the PGA Tour."

Johnson actually said he was recovering from a back injury because of a jet ski in 2012, when he was really suspended.
