Guillermo Ochoa Surprises Everyone With Unexpectedly Small Move To Malaga, Mexican Goalie Can Do Better Than That?

Guillermo Ochoa just recently announced that he will offer his intense goalkeeping services to Spanish club Malaga.

Memo Ochoa, or 'San Memo,' as called by Mexican fans came from a small and weak French team Ajaccio, it is not a big surprise that he will step up his game to a bigger club, but Malaga still seems short of the X Factor that Ochoa displayed in the World Cup.

An official statement from Malaga's Twitter page read:

@MalagaCF: OFICIAL.El guardameta Guillermo Ochoa (@yosoy8a) se convierte en nuevo jugador del #MálagaCF. https://bit.ly/1ljohJS

Though it is not a bad thing, Ochoa's spokesperson have said weeks ago that even Arsenal was making bids for the incredible goalie.

Nevertheless, Ochoa says he is happy to belong in this club, via @mexicoworldcup's Twitter. He is actually ESPN FC's Tom Marshall.

@mexicoworldcup: Ochoa: I'm happy to be in this club that opened the doors to the Spanish league, which is a dream for me. It's a great project.

The deal will last for three years after passing the mandatory medical test on Friday. He is most likely to be included in the club's first line up.

Even though Malago is not as big as Real Madrid or Barcelona in La Liga, the goalie will surely shine because the club has qualified for the said tournament. It means that Ochoa can play with the superstars.

@WhoScored: Guillermo Ochoa: @yosoy8a has made more saves (428) than any other goalkeeper in Europe's top 5 leagues in the last 3 seasons #MálagaCF

@mexicoworldcup: Malaga sporting president: Memo Ochoa is not here because of the World Cup. He's only missed 2 games in 3 years at Ajaccio.

@davidjaca: Excellent business from Málaga bringing in Memo Ochoa. Three-year deal and most importantly a very suitable Willy C replacement for €0.
