Maksim Chmerkovskiy Dating JLo?: Leaving DWTS For Lopez, Kirstey Alley Ends Friendship With Maks: According to emerging reports, famed DWTS dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy is rumored to be leaving 'Dancing With the Stars' for Jennifer Lopez. Although Jennifer had denied dating Maks earlier, it appears the two are getting closer after her 45th birthday bash, which Maks attended recently. Earlier Chmerkovskiy had mentioned that he would stop taking the role as a professional dancer for DWTS and consider returning as a judge.

Rumors also suggest that not everyone is pleased with the Maksim Chmerkovskiy dating JLo arrangement, since reports cite Kirstey Alley, a former dancing queen on DWTS herself, ending her friendship with Maksim. Chmerkovskiy and Alley were great friends, but Alley believes that Maks is spending time with the wrong people, one of them being Jennifer Lopez.

Chmerkovskiy, 34, was quoted as saying by Bravo's Watch What Happens Live,"She stopped getting along with me," adding, "we had a great relationship … But I got a message now that I am associating with other people that she can't be associated with, I am no longer to be spoken with, and sorry, but it is what it is."

And as for Jennifer Lopez, Maks wants to conceal his dating agenda and Jennifer has said that she prefers to single after her breakup with Casper Smart. JLo is also concerned about going public with her interest in Maksim because her kids are attached to Casper and the break up affected them as well. She said that she wouldn't want to another guy to close them.

Many reports site that Maksim is leaving DWTS for Jen. Lo. He had said earlier that he wanted Meryl Davis to be his last dancing partner on DWTS, and romance rumors following their Mirror Ball trophy win, have died down. Some reports say that Jennifer Lopez is not ready for a full-fledged relationship after her breakup earlier this year. Maks is likely to be a short term romantic interest for J.Lo, who has a flair for bigger 'cheese' like Ben Afleck.
