Dale Earnhardt Jr. Completes Sweep Of 2014 NASCAR Pocono Races: A Look Back At The 3 Victories, The Most He's Had in 10 Years

Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s win at Pocono is his three- peat since 2002, and he looks unstoppable from here, beating Kevin Harvick.

The victory last Sunday was his career's 22nd, and this race was the best he has done since 2004. He also won the season opening at Daytona 500.

"I just trying to hold them off," Earnhardt the winner said humbly. "They were faster. My car, I was overdriving it and not rolling the center very good and Kevin was getting me in turn 1 and 2. I just couldn't back it down. I was just way overdriving the car.

He also had a new crew chief for 2015, but he says that he loves his current team with Steve Letarte.

"I just feel really lucky to be able to work with (Steve) and the whole crew," Earnhardt said. "As good as Steve is, the whole crew is that deep. Everybody has got an awesome personality and a great attitude.

"I can't believe I fell into this group, man. I'm just the lucky guy to be able to drive for them. They'd be winning races no matter who was driving the car. I'm just lucky to be a part of this."

"... But we had a fast car all day. Steve's strategy was perfect at the end. I don't know if anybody knew what was going on then, but that was pretty awesome. It takes a really, really smart guy to understand what to do to take those gambles. Sometimes they pay off, sometimes they don't."

"I can't believe we swept Pocono," he said. "I think the 24 (Gordon) had a great car and the 41 (Kurt Busch) was fast all weekend. But we definitely went home from the last race (here) and made our car better.

"That's what I'm proud of the team for, they went and they didn't sit on what we did last time. They wanted to get better and be a faster car where we didn't have to get a little luck to win."
