Ever since the Ulitimate Fighting Championship has made an announcement that they had signed Nick Diaz three-fight contract extension, just five days later they made another announcement that Diaz will be facing former middleweight champion Anderson Silva.

A lot of fans are excited in seeing tow great players who has been away from the spotlight, face oof each other inside the octagon.

Silva was away from the limelight for 13 months after his last fight caused him a horrific leg injury. On the other hand, it has been more than a year since Nick Diaz has fought inside the octagon. His last fight was with Georges St-Pierre which was a title fight in Montreal on March 16, 2013 where he lost via unanimous decision.

According to Silva "I never thought in my career that I would face Nick Diaz. He's a guy that I've watched all of his fights. He's got great jiu-jitsu, and this fight has all the ingredients to be one of the best fights of all time. This fight is going to be excellent for the fans. This is going to be excellent for myself, and for Nick Diaz as well. We both haven't stepped in the Octagon for quite a while."

Silva has great words for Diaz saying that the latter has great boxing skills saying "Nick Diaz is a guy that walks forward. He's got great boxing skills, and he's going to come to fight. I believe it's going to be one of the best stand-up battles in the UFC."

Both Silva and Diaz have the same antics while inside the octagon. They have been seen talking and taunting opponents but Silva would want Diaz to keep the game professional.

He said "Nick Diaz is a guy that walks forward. He's got great boxing skills, and he's going to come to fight. I believe it's going to be one of the best stand-up battles in the UFC. I just want to put on a great show for myself and the fans."

The Anderson Silva-Nick Diaz fight will be happening on January 31 of 2015 at Las Vegas. Many will be looking forward to their fight.
