In the wake of Robin Williams' death, there have been many retrospectives on his movies and tributes to his genius as evidenced in his films. We won't be seeing an actor with such range and talent as the 63-year old, who can take on comedy, sci-fi, drama, animated films, romance, fantasy.
Fortunately for us , we haven't seen the last of Robin Williams' movies yet. At the time of his passing, the actor had several movies that he had finished that had not shown yet.
One of these movies is a Christmas comedy movie entitled Merry Friggin' Christmas, which has just recently released a short clip from the film. The movie stars Williams, and Joel McHale. McHale plays a dad who is forced to spend Christmas with a family that he has been estranged from for quite a bit of time. The family includes his dad named Mitch (played by Robin Williams), his wife Luann (Lauren Graham) and his son Douglas (Pierce Gagnon),
The comedy from the film stems a lot from the fact that Boyd forgets his sons gifts, and he has to embark on an eight-hour trip with father to retrieve the present and make sure they are sitting under the tree come Christmas day.
The clip that was posted by Entertainment Weekly shows a funny scene with Robin Williams and Doug, and how he enlists his grandfather's help in securing that the treat to be left for Santa Claus is ready for him for his Christmas eve visit. It's a classic Robin Williams movie, we catch a glimpse of the familiar mischief seen in the twinkle of the actors eyes as he sets about to "help" the young boy.
The film co-stars Oliver Platt, Clark Duke, and Matt Jones, and is due to be released in November.
