As soon as news of Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey's divorce surfaced, rumors began circulating on various media outlets regarding speculation on what may have led to the separation.

The most recent rumors that surfaced were regarding Mariah Carey's "jealousy" problems, according to Radar Online.

"Mariah thinks that when Nick travels that he cheats on her! Mariah is super jealous and things are clearly not good between them," an insider reportedly stated.

Despite allegations that Cannon may have cheated on Mariah Carey with a co-star, the America's Got Talent host was reportedly very good about keeping any trouble regarding his marriage under wraps.

"He didn't act single. And he didn't show any 'trouble in paradise' on set. When he was on the road he was cool, but he would go his separate ways and the girls would go their separate ways," stated a source for the entertainment website.

Mariah Carey has yet to comment on the reports of her impending divorce to Nick Cannon.

Although Cannon has been more open about the separation, even confirming to "The Insider" that they have been living in separate homes, the father of two returned to Twitter after months of social media hiatus to slam the rumors surrounding his marriage.

"I have personally been absent from social media for the past few months for obvious reasons but I feel the need to finally speak up. . . During this challenging time for me and my family it saddens me that the media can be such evil bottom feeders," wrote Nick Cannon on his Twitter account, regarding his impending divorce with Mariah Carey, according to ET Online.

Cannon added, "Because my family & I haven't been forthcoming with personal information, people are quick to paint negative pictures and spread rumors. For the record, I NEVER have, nor will I make a statement regarding my marriage."

Cannon made 19 separate tweets slamming the media, "gossip outlets" in particular, and praised Mariah Carey for being an "amazing Mother," writing that his love for her "will never change."
