'Gods Of Egypt', a film by Alex Proyas is targeting filming in 2016. However, it is not yet finalize which date it will be released.
The "Gods Of Egypt" plot, according to IMBD reads:
"Set, the merciless god of darkness, has taken over the throne of Egypt and plunged the once peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict. Few dare to rebel against him. A young thief, whose love was taken captive by the god, seeks to dethrone and defeat Set with the aid of the powerful god Horus."
The 2016 upcoming movie involves magic, monsters, gods and madness reign throughout the palaces and pyramids of the Nile River Valley.
Franchise Herald's August 23 post about this 2016 movie noted that 'Gods Of Egypt' casts have been finalized.

- Brenton Thwaites as Bek, a human thief.
- Gerard Butler as Set, a god of desert, storms and foreigners in ancient Egyptian religion. This actor played the role of King Leonidas in "300", 2007 film, which has been a start of his popularity.
- Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Horus, a god of the sky and son of Osiris.
- Courtney Eaton as Zaya, a slave girl cursed by Set.
- Geoffrey Rush as Ra, a god of the sun and father of Set and Osiris.
