The NBA Trade rumors are buzzing and it seems like Michael Beasley is going to join Kobe Bryant as he joins the LA Lakers if the NBA trade rumors are to be believed!

Coming out of college, Michael Beasley was touted to become another phenom, some even said he would be better than Kevin Durant as he had better stats compared to the reigning MVP back in college. Turns out, the former no. 2 overall pick just behind Derrick Rose became a journey man and did not lived up to those expectations. Year after year, he promises to redeem himself but only to come short each year. This coming season, Can he rise above his troubled past and finally become a contributor?

The 2008 NBA Draft is undeniably one of the best class since 2003. It already produced an MVP in first overall pick Derrick Rose, All-Stars like Russell Westbrook, Brook Lopez, and Kevin Love, and key players like Serge Ibaka, OJ Mayo, and Robin Lopez to name a few.

The Miami Heat, who gave him a second chance last season, is no longer interested in keeping him. There are other teams that are showing interest, and they understand what Beasley is now-a contributor who can score of the bench but only for limited minutes. On that note, here are some interesting tweets from Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders:

Teams now know what to expect from this player, and now they can decide whether to fit him into their roster. The Miami Herald quotes Beasley's agent:

"[Other] teams have called expressing interest,There has been quite a bit of activity the past four days. Teams are encouraged by his career-best field-goal percentage (49.9)...and his attitude when asked to play a reduced role."

Should the Lakers consider him to fill out their roster? Was the experience playing along LeBron James made him a better player and person?
