Good news for iPod fans as Apple has confirmed the iPod Touch 6G release date!

In a report by The Mobile Hub, the iPod Touch 6G release date will coincide with iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 launch, which is scheduled to happen during Apple's upcoming iPad event. According to reports, the anticipated Apple iPad event is slated for October, a month after the expected launch of the iPhone 6.

Tech experts such as Tom Bones have predicting that the iPod Touch 6G release will be juxtaposed to the iPhone 6 launch this September. However, the post on Phones Review website noted that it is more likely for the iPod Touch 6th generation release date or unveiling to occur earliest in October, together with the upcoming iOS slates, the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3.

The report states, "Apple like to keep the spotlight on their new iPhone models in September, and of course the iOS 8 public release will feature as well."

Aside from the iPod Touch 6G release date, fans are also curious to know more about the new features that the iOS media player will boast of. Since it is an upcoming iOS model, it can be expected that the iPod Touch 6G will get Apple's upcoming operating system, the iOS 8, which is scheduled for launch this fall 2014.
