'Dancing With The Stars' Season 19 News Results: Lea Thompson Leads With Artem Chigvintsev, Val, Maks Chmerkovskiy's Bro. And Janel 2nd, Smiley And Burgess Eliminated
By Tuesday September 23rd, the number of contestants on the 'Dancing With The Stars' Season 19 diluted to 11 from 12. In the elimination formula for DWTS, scores from the judges are combined with viewer's votes to determine winners and losers. The judges for Season 19 DWTS are Julianne Hough, Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli.
Taking the top score was Lea Thompson on Monday night. Her dance to Wilson Pickett's land of a Thougasnd Dances'with Artem Chigvintsev, finishing with 35/40.
In second place with 34 points, Janel and Val. This couple came up with a fox trot version a Latino dance.
With 'My Jam Mondy' as the theme of week 2 at DWTS, there was plenty of room for artists to get the guillotine from their performacnces.

Smiley told TVline.com, ""The art of dance I absolutely love, but like anything in life, it takes time to perfect it," said Smiley, before quickly reminding everyone his book tour has cut into his practice time.
"I don't care what it is, you have to spend time at your vocation," he added, before concluding, "It's been a wonderful experience, and I wish everybody all the best."
