Girls Generation singer and actress Choi Sooyoung may be breaking hearts in the drama "Spring Days" but in real life she already has the heart of actor Jung Kyung Ho. And he plans to keep it.
The actor spoke about their relationship in a recent interview with Joynews, once more discussing the possibility of marrying Sooyoung.
The actor has in the past said he would propose to his girlfriend if he won a Best Actor Award. He would make his proposal during his acceptance speech. At the time no one knew he was dating Soooyoung.
In January 2014, both of the stars' agencies confirmed that the actors had been dating since early 2013. When he appeared on MBC's "Section TV" in August 2014, he was asked if he still planned to propose during his acceptance speech. He said that he did.
During a recent interview with Joynews, the actor once more discussed his relationship and marriage plans.
"We are doing well," he said of his relationship with Sooyoung.
He also admitted that he was watching and enjoying Sooyoung's current drama. In "Spring Days" she plays a woman who receives a heart transplant and finds her heart yearning for the husband and family of the woman whose heart she received. Sooyoung, who previously had a leading role in "Dating Agency: Cyrano," has earned good reviews for her sweet portrayal of the heart transplant recipient Lee Bom Yi.
The Joynews interview focused mainly on Jung Kyung Ho's acting plans. He is currently wrapping up the period drama "Endless Love," in which he plays a man with an obsessive one-sided love. He is also awaiting the premiere of his film, the thriller "Manhole." In that film he plays a serial killer who uses a manhole to trap his victims. A detective played by Jung Yu Mi pursues him.
When the drama wraps up he plans to travel.
"I want to travel to Mount Everest after the drama ends," he said.
But what about marriage plans, the reporter wanted to know? Were those plans still dependent on his winning a Best Actor Award? Jung Kyung Ho did not get specific.
"While nothing has been decided, if there is an opportunity, the marriage might take place quickly," he said.
Last year the actor appeared in the dramas "Cruel City," "Drama Festival: Yi Sang, That Yi Sang," and "After School: Lucky or Not," as well as the film "Fasten Your Seatbelt."
