The upcoming dramas' competition for the top ratings is heating up more than ever.
Starting from July 9th, MBC airs their drama 'Golden Time' and 'Arang' (7/25). SBS airs 'Faith'(8/13) and 'To the Beautiful You' (August) and KBS airs 'Haeundae Lovers' (8/13) and 'Nice Guy' (September).
Out of all the new dramas airing, the Wednesday/Thursday actresses are receiving the spotlight.
These actresses consist of 'All Women Wanna Be' actress Shin Min Ah, the actresss who stole the spotlight in last years movie cinema Moon Chae Won and the girl who has won the love of all males f(x) member Sulli.
'To the Beautiful You' is Sulli's first main actress production. 'To the Beautiful You' is a Japanese cartoon that was in production from 1996-2004. The story is about an injured high jump gold medalist Kang Tae Joon and Goo Jae Hee, a girl student who dresses up like a boy to attend the school Kang Tae Joon attends so she can help him recover.
Through this drama, Sulli is attempting to play a girl/male dress up role. Sulli has stated "I'm very nervous about this production and 'To the Beautiful You' is my first production after my debut in f(x) where I act instead of sing" "It's my first production as a young adult, I'm kind of overwhelmed of acting out the character that I really liked in the cartoon but even though I'm overwhelmed I think it's going to be really fun."
Moon Chae Won, following the previous year is winning by acting in romance productions. But this time it isn't a historical drama. The production she has selected this time 'Nice Guy' is about a guy who get betrayed by a women and to get revenge uses a women who lost her memories. Moon Chae Won plays the role of Suh Eun Gi who is used by Song Joong Ki for his revenge.
Through 'Arang' it is Shin Min Ah's return to the drama world in 2 years. This time she is portraying the chracter of a girl ghost. The plot of the story is about Shin Min Ah's ghost character trying to figure out her unfair death. Shin Min Ah has stated "I await going to set everyday because I love this production so much." "It's been two years since my last production, so I'm really giving it my all."
