Actor Lee Sun Gyun states that his decision to appear in the drama 'Golden Time' immediately following the passing of his mother was a stroke of fate.
During the press conference for the new MBC drama, 'Golden Time' which was held in Yeouido, Seoul Korea, on the 2nd, Lee Sun Gyun shared with the press that his mother had passed away in 2011.
He continued to explain that he felt it was fate for him to play a role during this drama because his mother had passed away after her own "golden time".
In this drama, Lee Sun Gyun took the role of Lee Min Woo, a soon-to-be medical specialist who passed the state examination but has not yet found his calling.
The producing director of the drama 'Pasta', Kwon Suk Jang, and the screen writer for 'OB and GY', Choi Hee Ra, came together to create this new drama, 'Golden Time', a medical drama whose story is told in the Emergency Medicine department in a general hospital. The drama airs on the 9th following 'Lights and Shadows'. Some of Lee Sun Gyuns cast members include Hwang Jung Eum, Lee Sung Min, and Song Sun Mi.
